If you have driven around Sloan’s Lake within the past year, it’s hard to ignore the overwhelming amount of development, and the rising home prices. To date in 2015, the median sold price for a single-family home (excluding townhomes) is $535,000. If you are willing to cross Sheridan Boulevard to the charming community of Edgewater, that median price drops to $325,000.
Without a perfectly contiguous border, Edgewater is surrounded by Denver to the east, Lakewood to the south and west, and Wheat Ridge to the north. With only a 10-minute commute to downtown Denver, this unique small town environment is easily accessible, while providing affordability to first time homebuyers. With quiet, safe blocks, offering plenty of open space, within an improving school district, this is an ideal neighborhood for young families. Take a walk down W 25th Avenue, and enjoy Joyride Brewing Co, US Thai Café, and the Providence Tavern – you won’t miss the east side of the lake.
