Popping Up in Denver

The current state of the world has opened up new opportunities for entrepreneurial chefs and existing restaurants to rev up what takeout can look like. Each of these is chef-driven, but mostly driven by the love of food and some ingenuity. Move fast, many of these spots are testing new ideas and if you blink you’ll miss ’em.

Blue Tide Tacos – Available for takeaway or delivery – Blue Island Oyster Bar is crushing the California-style fish tacos and burrito game.

Dill and Dough Pierogies – Take and bake pierogis take center stage at this side project by Misfit Snack Bar in City Park.

The Free Bake – These home bakers are cranking out ridiculously good chocolate chip cookies (pictured above), loaves of bread, and drool-worthy jam each week. Order before the cut-off and pick up at Wooly Wax’s Denver headquarters.

Fancy Hot Dogs – LoHi-legends, Truffle Table, are slinging souped-up dogs out their backdoor.

Happy Go Lucky – Chef-driven poke bowls are popping up out of Ace Eat Serve weekdays at lunch, oh, and also Pina Coladas!

Kitsune Denver – Bento box delivery and Asian Izakaya-style small plates for dine-in, all housed in Rino-favorite, American Bonded.
