Crush Walls 2020
2020 might be the year that everything was canceled but art is not canceled! Especially outdoor art! This year’s CRUSH (Creative Rituals Under Social Harmony) will be the 11th year that artists take over RiNo and the surrounding area with incredible outdoor murals and other artwork. Started in 2010 by artist Robin Munro, the event centers around the purpose of uniting people through art. Many of the city’s most iconic murals are painted during this week-long event, just to be painted over and reimagined the next year.
The CRUSH event this year includes events both in person and digitally. See here for the full list of workshops and panels, starting Monday, September 14th through the 20th. There are chances for artists of any age and ability to get involved. Can’t wait another minute? Check out the amazing picnic tables at Denver Central Market painted by CRUSH artists earlier this summer.
If you want to visit during the event, check out the map of murals, here. Keep in mind, to enforce social distancing, the alleys in dense areas will be closed to the public in peak times. There will be over 100 artists at work on 40 different murals in the RiNo/Five Points area, so mask up and watch the magic happen!
