Denver’s Newest Farmers Market at Union Station
Summertime in Colorado signals the appearance of beloved farmers markets. A new one on the Denver scene is the Union Station Farmers Market, which began in June of this year. You can visit this market at the Denver Union Station Plaza every Saturday morning through October.
About 40 local food producers are featured. Somewhat unique to this particular farmers market is the requirement that all vendors must grow, raise, or make what they are selling themselves. It’s a chance to talk with farmers about their produce and they are happy to tell you their stories. Some popular vendors include Cure Organic Farms, Black Cat Farm, Grateful Bread Company and Haystack Mountain Cheese.
Union Station Farmers Market is a visual feast, with vibrantly colored vegetables arranged beautifully and in abundance. It’s also a culinary adventure, offering delicious baked goods and samples to taste. In addition to seasonal vegetables and fruits, you can purchase decorative plants and flowers, small-batch honey, artisan salsas and much more.
Visiting the Union Station Farmers Market is a great opportunity to stock up on fabulous, locally grown fruits and vegetables, support local farmers, and enjoy the Colorado sunshine!
