Development Update September 2024

It’s been an exciting and eventful period for Generator Development, with plenty of updates since our last blog. Our small but mighty team has been hard at work on a range of projects, some moving quickly while others are evolving thoughtfully. We’re thrilled to give you a glimpse into what we’ve been up to and what’s coming next for some key projects across Colorado.

3401 W 29th Ave (Former North Presbyterian Church)

This historic property has seen substantial progress, with the interior now fully remediated for environmental concerns. We expect to receive permits this fall and are currently seeking tenants for the space. Potential uses include office, retail, or a light food and beverage concept. With Matt Davis of Davis Urban Architects leading the design efforts, we’re optimistic the project will be completed by 2025.

Lyons (Former Longmont Water Treatment Plant Site)

Our love for the Lyons community continues to grow as we imagine how best to bring something catalytic to the “Eastern Corridor” along Highway 66. Most exciting is the St. Vrain river restoration effort which has uncovered a delightful new experience on the property. Phase I plans for this project include an RV camping concept with boutique retail, food and beverage options and plenty of open space. We’re collaborating with CDOT and the Town to help establish a new look and feel to the eastern approach into Lyons. Phase I should be well underway by spring of 2025.

GubGub’s Pizza in Walsenburg

In Walsenburg, GubGub’s Pizza is nearing its official grand opening, but soft opened just a couple weeks ago! After operating as a pop-up for two years, this project brings new life to a former gas station and auto repair shop, now transformed into a pizza and ice cream shop. Helena Cappon and Thomas Orr are ready to make a triumphant return with GubGub’s, and we can’t wait to see the community enjoying this space once again.

Looking Ahead

We’re eager to see how these projects continue to evolve. The development landscape is always shifting, but Generator Development’s commitment to creative solutions and thoughtful execution remains constant. We’ll keep you updated as these projects progress, and we’re excited for what lies ahead in 2024 and beyond.

Stay tuned for more updates from Generator Development!
