Before and After: Cole Half Duplex

First-time homebuyer Katie had a limited budget but still wanted a yard to enjoy and upgrade potential in her future home. Katie started before moving in by refinishing the original wood floors throughout. Next, she got to work in the kitchen, repainting the cabinets, replacing the backsplash, installing open shelving, and replacing all the hardware. She called in the professionals to have new countertops installed and new appliances delivered. The finished product is full of personality and modern flair.

When it came to her backyard oasis, she resodded extending the grass line, removed the rock border, replacing it with mulch and other new landscaping, refinished the deck, and repainted the door to the garage. Doing all of the landscaping herself saved her a ton of money and let her put her naturally green thumb to good use.
